Hotel Room or Holiday Home? Choosing Your Stay

We get this question a lot when guests are booking: would we be better in one of the hotel rooms, or in a self-catering Holiday Home? Honest answer: it depends on the kind of stay you want.

The hotel rooms

Best for: one-to-three-night stays, couples, anyone who wants meals taken care of, anyone arriving late or leaving early without time for groceries. Rooms range from sea-view doubles to king deluxe rooms and family interconnecting suites. Breakfast included; restaurant, bar, spa and pool a few steps from your door.

The holiday homes

Best for: longer stays, larger groups, families with very young children, anyone who likes the rhythm of cooking in. Each home sleeps up to eight adults across four ensuite bedrooms, has a full kitchen, washer-dryer, private living room and outdoor space, and you still have full access to all the hotel facilities and the restaurant whenever you want them.

The hidden middle option

Many of our regulars book both — a couple of hotel nights at the start of the trip, then the rest of the week in a holiday home. The hotel side handles the arrival admin (luggage, late check-in, restaurant tonight), and the holiday-home side handles the long, slow days. Worth asking about if your trip is more than four nights.

On price

Per-night the hotel rooms are typically less expensive in low season; the holiday homes start to look better value as soon as you are travelling four or more people, and become significantly cheaper for groups. Speak to reception and we will quote both ways.
